How to Access Pandora From Anywhere in the World

(By: Wired How-To Wiki)

Pandora and other U.S.-based streaming music services have long since slammed the doors on its international listeners. Its not as if the internet radio stations had a choice. Rather, the xenophobic restrictions are the result of U.S. and international copyright laws and restrictions.

Pandora is reportedly working out international licensing deals. As Tim Westerberg writes in a message to international users, «the pace of global licensing is hard to predict, but we have the ultimate goal of being able to offer our service everywhere.»

So how are intercontinental rockers going to dance to Pandora’s sweet tunes in the mean time?

Well one solution is to mask your identity by using a proxy server. Pandora blocks users by non-U.S. IP addresses. If you connect to a server in the U.S. and use it as an internet providing middle-man between your PC and Pandora, Pandora won’t know the difference. To Pandora’s servers, you look like you are the middle-man. Proxies make it possible to rock out to Pandora from anywhere in the world.

Using a proxy to access restrictive web applications on foreign soil isn’t just for Pandora. There are web proxies for every state in the United States and almost any country around the world. Hiding behind a proxy’s IP means access to foreign music stores and other web sites normally blocked to your area. You can even simulate foreign access, or out-of-LAN access, to your own web projects by utilizing proxies.

So how do you use a proxy? Put on your dancing shoes and let’s dig into the wonderful world of proxies.

All I ever needed – Bret Michaels (once again)

¿Porqué no volver a poner lo mismo?, si me provoca la misma buena sensación entre la simpleza de la cultura americana, la belleza y pureza de la música country, la historia de mi vida, y una que otra cicatriz que aún puedo ver en mi espinilla.

enjoy:

There you lay and here I stand
He knelt down on his knees and took her by the hand
We seen some good times been through some bad
But somewhere between the laughter and the tears
We sure had a lot of great years, she said

We didn’t need fortune didn’t need fame
Just a little shelter from the rain
Your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through
We didn’t need a castle made of stone
Just you there as I grow old
Your heart to hold onto
All I ever needed was you
Was you.

Remember our first dance, our first kiss
I pictured my life with you to be just like this
You stood by me, I stand by you
We share the laughter joy and pain
But it’s a moment like this I hope it never ends

(chorus)
We didn’t need fortune didn’t need fame
Just a little shelter from the rain
Your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through
We didn’t need a castle made of stone, just you there as i grow old
Your heart to hold onto,
All I ever needed was you
Share my life with you, girl

I thank you for sharing your life with me
For giving me a reason to believe
For loving me for who i am

(chorus)
We didn’t need fortune didn’t need fame
Just a little shelter from the rain
Your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through
We didn’t need a castle made of stone, just you there as I grow old
Your heart to hold onto,
All I ever needed
All I ever needed was you

You’re all I ever needed.

Violines
